About Lindi Ndlovu:

I have been a designer for 5 years, specialising mostly in brand identities and event branding. I am passionate about what I do and while I have been a waitress, a hostess, a store manager and a baker in the past, my passion has always brought me back to the world of art of design. I am currently studying software engineering to add to my skillset. I have been dabbling in web design since my computer literacy has always been above average.

Experience

I started off my professional career as a store manager conducting sales as well as dealing with the ins and outs of the store. I was solely responsible for restocking, keeping records of cash flow and other administration areas. During this time, I was also a freelance baker. It integrated well with the sales I conducted because it was a toy store that also sold party goods. 

After working at the store, I was hired as a waitress at a semi high end restaurant. I gained more sales experience here but also had moments behind the bar and in the kitchen during my training. My customer service skills flourished here as I am well spoken and extremely bubbly. I also picked up hostess shifts when I was needed. The same company I waitressed for soon hired me as their graphic designer and this is where my freelancing career took off.

Since my move from the province I was staying in, I have been a call centre agent. I handle the admin in this position but I am also a medium of communication between the company and clients.

Education

I completed matric through the IEB curriculum.

I am currently a software engineering student. I have gained most of my experience through practical work. I am looking to study graphic design as soon as I have completed my software engineering certificate.
