  • Monitor network performance to identify and correct routine problems and serious concerns
  • Respond promptly to emergencies to manage failures affecting critical business systems
  • Installed wired and wireless networks to mobilize operational needs
  • Managed routine operations, addressed complex issues and oversaw the planning for future disasters and subsequent recovery  

 

FIBER OPTICS TECHNICIAN

  • Respond to service requests during and after hours 
  • Test fiber optic lines after installation to confirm optimal operation
  • Respond to emergency calls and perform initial testing and troubleshooting to pinpoint the problem
  • Provide cost effective corrective solutions whenever possible
  • Install new fiber lines, perform routine repairs as well as system and line maintenance
  • Perform fiber line installations, testing, inspecting, repairing and removal of fiber optic cables & fiber optic equipment 
  • Prepare project status report and document the results of routine line testing

 

Education

  • Fiber Optics technician certificate from Ekurhuleni Artisans and training center
  • Huawei HCIP - advance routing and routing certificate from Huawei
