I am confident to say that I have acquired a set of skills that will allow myself to be adaptable to any environment. Through the years of being exposed to different cultures and working environments I have taught myself to be flexible, adjustable and to challenge myself.
I know the extreme lengths that one has to go through in order to make a success of what they are doing, and I am challenged by this to become the best version of myself. - For Fairtrade purposes: Record keeping of fruit sales (invoice control), and Fairtrade Premiums received.
- For Fairtrade purposes: experience with working with a trust, part of trustees on a trust. Compilation of the Terms of Reference of the trust. Communication with attorneys with regards to the trust.
- HR Functional duties
- Employment contracts: compilation and amendments made to farm worker contracts to comply with national legislation.
- HR policies: compilation of HR policies. Implementation and communication of HR policies. Annual review and amendments to policies to ensure compliance to national legislation
- Procedures: compilation and implementation of procedures to ensure better workflow and a compliant environment.
- Disciplinary hearings: secretarial duties during disciplinary hearings, gathering of relevant information relating to the hearing.
- Experience on the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) Pay space.
- Training:
- Coordinate all training for each farm in the company profile (Regulatory, developmental and task orientated training)
- Manage and follow up on payments / invoices
- Point of contact between farm, head office and training supplier.
- Advise all the farms on beneficial training for the farm workers.
- Facilitated internal training for farm workers (committee training, employment equity training, hygiene, fire safety and SIZA training)
