  • Manage BRC for 4 Farms in the Company Profile 
  • Online portals: Annual Maintenance of farm profiles for international clients.

  • Liaison between the company (farms) and the relevant standard’s body. 
  • Annual mock recall and traceability tests.

  • Internal Audits accompanied by physical farm inspections, recommendations for improvements on non-conformances found prior to official audit. 
  • Advise, monitor, evaluate and assist with corrective actions required after formal audit outcome. 
  • Attendance of all workshops to stay up to date with current Social and Ethical standards. 
  • Working in close relation with the marketing team and international clients – to complete all compliance documentation. 
  • For Fairtrade purposes: Record keeping of fruit sales (invoice control), and Fairtrade Premiums received. 
  • For Fairtrade purposes: experience with working with a trust, part of trustees on a trust. Compilation of the Terms of Reference of the trust. Communication with attorneys with regards to the trust. 
  1. HR Functional duties 
  • Employment contracts: compilation and amendments made to farm worker contracts to comply with national legislation. 
  • HR policies: compilation of HR policies. Implementation and communication of HR policies. Annual review and amendments to policies to ensure compliance to national legislation 
  • Procedures: compilation and implementation of procedures to ensure better workflow and a compliant environment. 
  • Disciplinary hearings: secretarial duties during disciplinary hearings, gathering of relevant information relating to the hearing. 
  • Experience on the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) Pay space. 
  1. Training: 
  • Coordinate all training for each farm in the company profile (Regulatory, developmental and task orientated training) 
  • Manage and follow up on payments / invoices 
  • Point of contact between farm, head office and training supplier. 
  • Advise all the farms on beneficial training for the farm workers. 
  • Facilitated internal training for farm workers (committee training, employment equity training, hygiene, fire safety and SIZA training) 
  1. Workplace Skills plan and Annual training plan: The company SDF 
  • Data Collection of all the farms in the company profile (implemented a training policy and procedure to streamline the process) 
  • WSP /ATR Data compilation for all legal entities and farms in the company profile 
  • WSP /ATR Data submissions for all legal entities and farms in the company profile. 
  • Monitor Grants received from AgriSETA

  • Employment Equity Data collection, compilation and submission from all legal entities and farms.

  • H&S Committee member in the office. Manage and monitor the fire drills, fire extinguishers as well as the first aid kits.
