I am a dedicated and versatile Civil Engineering Technologist who has fulfilled various roles such as Site Agent, Project Manager, Design Engineer and Resident Engineer. I possess exceptional leadership qualities, combined with a strong work ethic, innovative thinking, and analytical skills. I thrive on challenges, am quick to learn, and adapt well to change, always willing to exceed expectations. I began my career in Civil Engineering at SMEC South Africa in November 2010, starting as a trainee technician. Over 2 years and 7 months, alongside intermittent study periods, I received mentorship from Engineers and Technologists. This focused on project management, design, and construction of various civil infrastructure such as platforms, roads, and water, stormwater, and sewer systems. During this time, I also gained hands-on experience in setting out and surveying using company equipment, ensuring precise execution on site.

After graduating with my National Diploma in December 2014, I joined HN Consulting Engineers as a Civil Technician, dedicating 3 years and 6 months to road construction sites. Here, I managed quality control, site measurements, payment certificates, and subcontractor oversight as part of my site supervision duties. I coordinated extensively with internal site management and operatives, as well as liaised with clients and design teams to ensure project specifications were met.

Subsequently, at FMA Engineers for 2 years and 7 months as a Civil Technologist, I led teams in designing roads, buildings, and structures while managing projects. I handled technical submittals, identified missing information, and raised RFIs to streamline project progress. My role included a full understanding of project specifications and drawings to determine materials required on site and oversee procurement processes.

Moving to DlamiNdlovu Consulting Engineers and Project Managers as Senior Technologist, I spent 1 year and 1 month overseeing multiple teams of Civil Technologists, Technicians, and Trainees. I continued managing project coordination with clients, design teams, and subcontractors, ensuring smooth project execution. I wrote risk assessments, method statements, and reviewed subcontractor documents, maintaining rigorous project standards.

Currently, I serve as Site Agent at Raubex KZN, a role I've held for 2 years and 3 months. Here, I've successfully completed road construction projects, applying skills honed from previous experiences and benefiting from mentorship under Contract Managers and Directors. I use cable avoidance tools for safe excavation practices and report regularly to the Contract Manager on project progress and challenges.
