I am passionate about digital media and content creation. I have been working in the communication and media space for the last four years. I specialise in social media production, video and graphic design, monitoring, copywriting, analytics, marketing, media strategising and branding. I want to use the skills I have acquired professionally to further grow creatively and strategically.

I have been working in the communication and media space for the last four years. Initially, I started out as a social media copywriter when I was in university helping a friend of mine market her small business on Instagram. Thereafter, I went on to study journalism at Stellenbosch University. Whilst studying I worked as a student reporter for the Journalism Department’s online news outlet MatieMedia. After university, I did an internship at Eve’s Apple the Mag, a women’s health magazine where I stood in as the creative director of issue 10, as well as writing articles for the issue. I continue to write for Eve’s Apple on a freelance basis. As of April 2022, I have been an employee at Hortgro, as a Digital Media Specialist. As a Digital Media Specialist, I have been responsible for managing and updating Hortgro’s digital channels and websites, including: updating plugins, managing functionality, creating new pages, monitoring analytics, optimising SEO and creating and designing content. I am also responsible for the social media platforms; Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube, by creating content and campaigns, running campaigns, and communicating events and industry to our audience am have more than doubled the reach of these social media platforms in the last year. Additionally, I also write the Fresh Quarterly and South African Fruit Journal.
