My name is Kwanele Mduduzi Sibiya from Empangeni, Ngwelezane township. I hold bachelor degree Industrial Sociology form University of Zululand. I am current a trainee under People Management department at Transnet National Port Authority Port of Richards Bay.
Experience
Recruitment
• Compile adverts as per the signed job descriptions send to line for approval, publish them on e-recruitment and select other platforms to use outside of Transnet.
• Co-ordinate interview process.
• Ensure Employment Equity is adhered to, and departments recruit according to the statistics set out.
• Receive applications and ensuring that all applications all are recorded.
• Do preliminary shortlisting and forward to line for further processing.
• Invite shortlisted candidates for interviews.
• Compile appointment and regret letter.
• Co-ordinate and sit in feedback session for candidates that were unsuccessful.
• Compile presentation and report on EE deviations to the EE committee.
• Draft recommendations submission for appointments and monitor progress until final approval.
• Obtain REM statements and request input and sign off by HQ remuneration department.
• Do candidate verifications through MIE.
Training and Development
• Consolidation of training needs and courses to arrange scheduling of training.
• Sourcing of external courses not provided by the Transnet to ensure training needs are met and payments made.
• Maintenance of SAP Training and events module to ensure accurate training records.
• Skills Development Facilitation in compliance with SAQA and NQF standards.
• Compile Training Reports & Statistical information.
• Conduct, administer & compile Training Needs Analysis, Skills matrix’s, and IDP’s.
• Compile Training Schedules. • Capturing of all training on SAP Systems and compile reports.
• Administer Part Time bursaries for internal employees.
• Receive invoices from service providers and action them accordingly.
• Receive employees Individual Development Plans and load them on the system.
• Travel booking for employees attending training, workshop, and seminars.
Payroll and Admin
• Verify leave balances to make sure that monthly credit is uploaded.
• Capture the document changes in terms of employee banking arrangements, new appointments, and a subsistence claim.
• Provide Pay administration in terms of document control to ensure that employees are correctly and timely remunerated.
• Provide personnel administrative functions to employees to ensure employee service conditions are met, effective record keeping, and the timely availability of records, statistics, and information for management and staff.
• Loads new appointments on the SAP Human Capital system.
• Receive the leave application form and verify if it was approved by the line manager.
• Check leave credit to make sure that employee leave is available.
• Make sure that the leave is credited according to the Basic Conditions of Employment Act guidelines.
• Compile report and send to Head Office in terms of new appointments monthly.
• Issue employees with travel and substance claim form and create control form thereafter.
• Create file for newly appointed employee or liaison with previous operating division
