Kupakwashe Uzziel Dambanemweya

I am a young vibrant academic – engineer endeavoring to rise and acquire more skills in chemical and processing technology.

I am currently employed as an academic at the University of Zimbabwe facilitating lectures in the Chemical Engineering discipline. In addition to that, I supervise projects for students at undergraduate and master’s level. I also offer consultancy services under Brightell Refractory Solutions Pvt Ltd in process control and related disciplines.  Over the years I have accumulated knowledge as an undergraduate, masters student and later, as a young passionate researcher. I've acquired skills in coal processing methods, pre-carbonization techniques and gasification. I also participate in research activities under the Institute of mining research (IMR) and have an appreciation of mineral processing and extractive metallurgy.

I have been a participant in the coal beneficiation for the metallurgical industry joint project between Zimbabwe and Botswana. The project focused on the processing of coal into metallurgical coke, modelling and simulation of blast furnace for the process as well as optimisation of the properties of coke and blending ratios. The project had a huge impact in the iron and steel industry and I believe working with your organisation will help me in developing my skills and strengthening my knowledge in chemical processing technology. I am also flexible and have the zeal to learn and adapt to new innovation, exploring new technologies.

I hold an MSc in Quality Management from St Petersburg State University of aerospace Instrumentation and have a strong chemical engineering background.
