Kirstin Becker

I completed my 2 years of internship at Worcester Provincial Hospital followed by my community service year at Klerksdorp Tertiary Hospital. 
Subsequently, I have been gaining experience in GP private practice as well as assisting in theatres across various disciplines. 
During the past 3 years, I have developed my knowledge and equipped myself with skills by attending various courses.
I am incredibly passionate about keeping up to date with evidence-based guidelines and thoroughly enjoy further reading in order to implement this in my daily practice.

2023:

• Permanent and Locum opportunities at GP Practices (George, Western Cape and Gqeberha, Eastern Cape)
• Surgical Assistant (General surgery, Vascular surgery, Gynaecology, Urology)

2022:

• Community Service at Klerksdorp Tertiary Hospital. 
  6 months rotation in ENT, 6 months rotation in Oncology. All commuted overtime in Emergency Department. Additional commuted overtime in ICU (medical and surgical patients).

2020-2021:

• Medical Internship at Worcester Provinical Hospital. Rotations through Paediatrics, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Anaesthetics, Orthopaedics, Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine, Primary Healthcare including district hospital and clinic rotations. 

2019:

• MBBCh degree at the University of the Witwatersrand 

2013

• IEB National Senior Certificate at Glenwood House College, George, Western Cape
