About katlego lefine:

I matriculated at West Ridge High School in the year 2009. In 2010 I became a barista at the University of Johannesburg teaching Hospitality students how to become a baristas, how to maintain coffee equipment and how to manage a coffee shop. 2011 I enrolled at Rose Bank College for a Diploma in Journalism, in my final year I dropped out leaving two modules uncompleted due to financial constraints at home. The following year in 2012 I enrolled for a Bachelor of Law Degree at the University of South Africa (UNISA) and applied for National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) funding. During my studies at UNISA I became a teller at Woolworths for about 4 months, thereafter in 2017 I became an administration officer at UNISA Florida Campus, during the course of my employment at UNISA I was volunteering for law firms and taking part in the UNISA College of Law workshop such as the Street Law Programme, 7th Annual Law Spring Law Conference in which I presented a research paper “African Indigenous Legal Systems” which was published in Black Lawyers Association Aluta Continua Magazine. In 2020 I obtained an internship opportunity with the Department of Health Legal Services in Johannesburg and completed my internship in September 2021. In March 2022 I became a Candidate Attorney for A.F. Van Wyk Mabitsela Williams Incorporated in Johannesburg, Booysens.

Experience

I have worked as a teller at Woolworths Retail Store, I Have worked as an administration officer for approximately 3 years, my scope of work was to help students in applying for the correct qualifications as reflected in their matric certificates, registration of modules, data capturing and attending to various queries.

Currently I am a Candidate Attorney at A.F. Van Wyk Mabitsela Williams Incorporated in Booysens Johannesburg, I practice in Johannesburg and surrounding areas. my work involves drafting litigation documents (pleadings, notices letters of demand, summons and applications); case investigations, driving  to various organs of the state and sheriffs, appearing in the regional and magistrates courts within the Johannesburg region; taking new instructions from clients; booking medico-legal appointments and briefing council (advocates).
