Audit Trainee at Mazars and Crowe

I was primarily involved in providing professional assurance services with exposure to the Retail, Manufactutring, Mining, JSE Listed company, Non-Profit Organisation, Schooling and Pharmaceutical sectors. 

Responsibilities included:

Financial Accountant at Natural Justice

I was primarily involved in assisting the Chief Financial & Operations Officer (CFOO) to ensure the efficient day-to-day operations of Natural Justice and to implement efficient and diligent financial practices. The range of administrative and financial responsibilities included the following:
• Assisting the CFOO with drafting of financial management system for various community projects.
• Examining and analysing financial information.
• Preparation of month end and year-end financial reports, and cash flow management.
• Providing monthly up-to-date and accurate funder and project reports to the CFOO.
• Preparation of the management accounts; reconciliations; budgeting and forecasting.
• Analysing the accounting systems, and suggesting enhancements where needed.
• Ensuring the organization follows all required legislation and IFRS for SME accounting framework.
• Maintaining the accounting records on the SAGE Pastel Partner for NPO’s Accounting package.
• Preparing the reports to donors and hubs
• Ensuring high quality reporting and robust processes in place to support the team.
• Providing general financial advice and assistance where required.
• Collaborating with diverse individuals, from other African countries in which NJ operates, improving interpersonal and professional skills
• Assessing problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant
information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or
resolve the problem.
