Johan Troskie

I worked as a Research Intern at Save the Children South Africa in 2023, where I actively contributed to various projects conducted at the organisation, developed digital data collection tools, conducted Desktop reviews, assisted in facilitating of data capturing on different platforms, and conducted quantitative and qualitative research analysis. I also lead focus groups, trained facilitators to capture data correctly and accurately, and completed a course on Research and Project management, and efficient time management in an office setting.

Furthermore, I have also worked as a CAT teacher at Bekker High School in 2024. During this time, I was tasked with working with children/young adults, and I was trusted to be a mentor for the learners. I built a great rapport with them, and helped them see an increase in their academic marks. I also worked with strict deadlines, which I was able to meet without fail, and furthered my experience with necessary office programs, such as Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, and HTML.

I have submitted my final dissertation for my MA Research Psychology degree, after which I will have obtained my Master's degree in Research Psychology from the University of Pretoria.

I have also studied Physics and Mathematics for two years at Unisa at the same time that I studied Psychology at the University of Pretoria.
