Johan Burger

Currently the appointed Mine Manager at an aggregate quarry. Ensuring compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act. Overseeing all day to day operations, including production and coordinating of maintenance and repairs of automated Cement brick and block manufacturing machinery.

I have been employed at Dorning Group since 2016. My first position was maintenance in the block manufacturing plant. After gaining a lot of operational, managerial, mechanical and electrical experience, I was appointed Mine Manager at our quarry in Matatiele, which we acquired in 2019.  

Red seal Qualified Mechanical fitter. Studied part time through FET and Gateway City College. Trade certificate completed at Atholl Munday Training College.
