My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, with a credit, from the University of Malawi. In addition, I have attended several workshops and courses in maintenance planning and scheduling, preventive/predictive maintenance, project management, and computer applications such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in maintenance engineering, including facility maintenance, HVAC upgrades, and high-level condition assessments of building services. I have worked with a range of computer applications, including HVAC calc, Archibus, Fastmaint, and Evolution, and am skilled in load calculations and Autodesk Navisworks.

My experience at Dobieshephered Pty Ltd. as a Loss Adjuster has equipped me with the skills to conduct high-level condition assessments of building services, including HVAC installations, wastewater treatment plants, water treatment plants, and electrical substations and miniature stations.

As a Mechanical Engineer at Phunya Consulting, I was responsible for HVAC upgrades on buildings owned by Rebosis Property Fund, and I used CHVAC load calculation software to accurately size HVAC equipment of the high-rise buildings. I also conducted high-level condition assessments of building equipment and advised and recommended the best maintenance approach based on the reports. Additionally, I was involved in the replacement of butterfly valves as an upgrade to the current system in a water project in Kwazulu Natal.

My experience as a Facility Manager at Sakhiwo Health Solutions and Technical Manager at COEGA Development Corporation has given me experience in the maintenance of health facilities, the coordination of preventive or predictive maintenance procedures, and the allocation of jobs to contractors. I am skilled in the use of computer maintenance management systems, such as Archibus, and have experience managing budgets, including a budget of R500,000,000 for the maintenance of health facilities.
