  • Stem Monitoring system (Monitors on the wall). Logging tickets for clients experiencing Fiber downtime using SOPHOS. Clients such as Findbond, SLA, and Barko
  •  Mikrotik RB3011 switch device. A switch that is configured through the browser (Winbox). Learned to view connectivity. Learned also about the Zanbbix. Zanbbix is used to view connectivity settings for clients managed or Hosted
  • Winbox. A monitoring and verifying client connectivity through the browser. Use IP Addresses to view client connectivity, Traceroute, Torch, Ping. 
  • Configure the Mikrotic connectivity settings such as routes, Router Settings, Switches, IP Addresses
  • Learned to use SOPHOS through the browser to view VPN device settings, Configuration Network status, Cloud APN
  • Learned to view Omada (TP-Link) for monitoring TP Links on-site. View Ports connected, IP Addresses.

  • LA (Link Africa) Monitoring system (Screens on the wall). LA net 1 (Link Africa), LA net 2. Learned about the fact that LA assist diagnose and repair broken fiber link for its clients that experiencing downtime

  • LA locating services. Locating the service using GPON for Link Business with (Circuit ID’s beginning with 66,67,77) Knack for locating Link Enterprise ports (Circuit ID’s beginning with 56,57,58,59 Circuit ID)
  • ONU Device (Optical Network Unit) the fiber network device which is a device that is connected to the client network device (Router, Transceiver, Switch) at client’s site. 
  • View the status of the ONU, view the configured page and view the configuration of the ONU. Distinguish between a client device that is online, a device that is experiencing power outage, and a device that is experiencing fiber break
