Ivanka Lopez

I am a dedicated, aspirational and hardworking LLB graduate seeking a position in the legal profession in order to accumulate more knowledge and understanding about the law. I aim to become an admitted attorney in the future in order to sate my need to protect the vulnerable, prevent injustices and ensure conformity to the law. Further I aspire to develop my career by continuously growing my skills and knowledge to better apply the law.

y experience in the Top Achievers programme has taught me how to critically assess situations, along with developing in me a deep understanding of how to adapt and conform to working with people. Moreover, being a part of the adhoc committee has expanded my researching, fact- checking, and critical thinking skills. Further, I have recently acquired the opportunity to work as a legal assistant at Exigent Group Limited and this has provided me with the chance to gain experience in regards to being in a professional environment, in addition to growing my ability to determine what could be relevant to certain issues and determining privilege and confidentiality.

I have graduated from the University of the Western Cape with LLB degree and I have recently completed PVT School for Legal Practice in September 2023.
