Irene Muir

My name is Irene Muir and originally from Durban, I relocated here about three-and-a-half years ago and currently live in Southern Paarl. I saw your ad and feel I am very in-line to apply for the position with the recomended experience and my Masters in Architecture. At my current place of work I am highly utilised for my submission skills both in detailing and approval processes, I believe in putting in as much detail to leave later site details to a minimum. My current company is also involved in the construction of our homes so I work very closely with the site-foreman and like to streamline the process more and more each time. I work well under pressure and feel my fore-thinking of process to benefit my abaility to work on many items at once.

Please note the downfalls is that I currently work on and are experienced in Archicad, a very similar program to Revit. I do therefore feel it won’t take me too long to get the hang of the program and am willing to take extra courses, put in extra hours if needed. We currently do high-end homes in Val de Vie, some the size of almost a small-commercial project, however I do know I can grow more into this scale of building. I am very fluent in English and eligible to take on my board exams with SACAP which will afford me to learn the JBCC in depth. The current reason for leaving my work environment is the need to grow more into the design field and to strengthen my skills currently neglected.

I am a very energetic lady with an interest in my health and wholistic happiness. In my spare time I love to cook and bake, hike, camp, DIY my home environment and inspire others to get active through running and cycling. After all we live in a beautiful part of the world.
