I work as a Standard Group Advocate for MSC Cruises USA, though I’m based in South Africa. My role involves coordinating group travel logistics for North American cruise guests — everything from booking management and contract support to resolving service issues and ensuring compliance with travel policies. It’s a remote-facing position, so I collaborate across time zones and cultures, often liaising with travel agents and internal teams to make sure every group sailing runs smoothly.

Beyond the logistics, I also support my colleagues with documentation and policy interpretation, especially around compliance and disclosure. It’s a mix of customer service, operations, and ethical guidance — and I love that it allows me to work globally while staying rooted here in Johannesburg.”
