Helga Essex

Hi there, I'm Helga.

I'm passionate about writing, and have exceptional editing skills.

In terms of my qualifications, I possess a BA degree (with English and Ethics majors), as well as a BA Honours degree in English, which I obtained at UWC in 2011 and 2012 respectively. As a result of the previous mentioned degrees, I have obtained skills such as being able to do extensive research, be highly analytical, and being able to focus on more than one aspect of a particular topic. 

After completing my studies I worked at Woman Online Magazine (an online magazine publication) for the entire duration of 2014 as an intern and editorial assistant. It provided me with the necessary experience of working within the online publishing sector and on social media platforms on behalf of various brands. 

I then went on to work at Digital Outsource Services as a Customer Service Host from July 2015 until March 2023. This position has helped me to focus on and improve my skills of working well under pressure, being able to work well within a team as well as independently, and being highly organised.
