Hanneke du Preez

I’m a designer by trade, but my interest in design keeps my eyes open to everything. Much as a designer ought to be, I’m opinionated, attentive, sincere, and slightly obsessed. 

My work is influenced by an unshakeable belief in design as a problem-solving tool, a means of identifying and creating connections between ideas and reality, and a means of enhancing the relationship between individuals and the products they consume. 

Ultimately, my goal is to create sublime experiences and meaningful relationships via the prism of design and to be capable of exploring diverse fields through collaboration and persistent creation.

For the past five years, I have been engaged in all things media but found my niche in visual design. I have extensive experience with digital & print design, strategic communication, front-end web design, and photography, and I even enjoy book-making as a hobby.

I hold a Bachelor of Journalism degree from Rhodes University, which means that although I specialized in publication design, I spent three out of the four years of my degree dabbling in journalistic writing, photography, videography, podcasting, and multimedia.
