About Gontse Mongana:
I am a hard-working individual who believes in teamwork and enjoys learning new things, I guess you can say I adapt easily to change. I am target driven and works well under pressure. I am a married family man, have three kids and believe in principles. In terms of religion, I am a Christian and a leader in my church and believe in loyalty and accountability. I have over 12 years Banking experience, I started my banking career at First National Banking then went to Lifestyle Financial Services and a year later I joined Capitec Bank. I strongly believe in personal growth and not staying in one position forever. People needs to be developed and must keep with the times as processes change with time. In closing I would like to say “hard worki does pay off”.
Experience
I started working in a Restuarant in 2004 after I completed my N6 Certificate. I stared off as a Barista at Euro Caffe in Bloemfontein, Mimosa Mall. A year later I became a waitron in the same company and while I was still working there I was fortunate enough to get Military training in the South African Defence Force (Reserve Force) in 2006. So at that time I managed to work both jobs and both Employers were aware of it. In 2007 I went for Officer Formative (training to become Military Officer) in Heidelberg and I got my ranks there as Lieutenant in training and when I came back I landed a contract work with First National Bank in 2008 as a Bank Teller, it was a six months contract but after three months in the position I was appointed permanent. I serve for about twelve months as a Teller then I was moved to a Service consultant position in 2009. In 2011 I was moved to a Sales Consultant position and during that time I had other responsibilities (ATM Custodian and Treasury Custodian) and I would also act as Teller Supervisor in the absence of the supervisor. I did declare to FNB that I was in the Military as a Reserve Force which they did not have a problem with. In 2012 I left FNB for personal reasons and joined Lifestyle Financial Services as a Senior Sales Consultant in Bloemfontein, we were then retrenched in 2013 end of April. In September 2013 I joined Capitec Bank as a Service Consultant up until December 2022. I am currently unemployed but studying with Multiech Business School.
Education
I matriculated in 2001 at Moroka High School in Thaba Nchu. In 2002 I enrolled with Motheo FET College and completed my N6 National Certificate in Financial Management, and years later I completed my National Certificate in Banking then in 2021 I completed NQF level 5 Banking Certificate.
