After completing a Bsc at the University of Stellenbosch in 2001; I have had a wide-range of management experience working in the fitness industry, the construction industry, the logistics and retail sector and the facilities management industry. My work in all of these fields has allowed  me to gain extensive experience in managing all financial aspects of the business unit , sales, logistics, staff and project management..

After completing a Bsc at the University of Stellenbosch I started my career at Virgin Active as a Operations Manager and was later promoted to Club General Manager. During my 10 years at Virgin Active I held several management positions namely: Operations Manager, Assistant Club General Manager, and Club General Manager. My time at Virgin Active allowed me to equip myself with valuable skills which will enable me to tackle any management role. I am capable of managing all financial aspects of the business unit including: preparing and providing budget proposals to achieve the budgeted profit margin, managing sales and managing several other relevant departments to achieve set monthly budgets, controlling expenses against budget and drafting various reports – including misallocation and variance reports. In my capacity as Club Manager I was also responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of service level agreements with service providers, managing human resources, and managing the appointment, performance and wellness of staff.

In my capacity as Logistics Manager for the retail group Platinum Group Services;  I was responsible for ensuring that the throughput and production objectives for the distribution centre were successfully achieved. This was done though planning and utilizing all available resources, space and equipment in the most cost effective manner. My duties included but were not limited to:
1. Overseeing the daily running of warehouse operation.
2. Overseeing the stock control, planning, picking, packing and processing orders.
3. Ensuring warehouse staff are well-trained and supervised for their job in the logistics area.
4. Monitoring the quality, quantity and efficiency of movement and storage of goods.
5.  Coordinating and controlling the order cycle
6. Liaising and negotiating withy customers and  procedures
9. Compiling management reports

I have held several management positions in both the construction and facilities management sectors. Below is a synopsis of my most recent roles in these sectors:

•       Technical manager - Building Fabric: Parliament

•       Project Manager - Facilities Management: Parliament

•       Operations Manager: CTICC Field Hospital - Hospital of Hope
