Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and produce a plan for the section in line with core functions of the section, i.e. Informal Settlement Management, Training and Outreach and Facilitation. 
  •  Review plans  and analyse activities of the section every quarter so that alternative

   methods of operations can be achieved.

  •  Conduct monthly meetings and compile minutes thereof covering three key performance areas of the Section.
  • Provide plan for suitable work stations conducive for effective working environment (in line with Health and Safety)
  • Conduct staff recruitment, placement and development within policy guidelines.
  • Conduct staff performance assessment according to performance plans and produce a report thereof.
  • Prepare a year budget for the Section by cut-off date as outlined in the budgetary roll-out process for all necessities for Section.
  • Manage and control monthly expenditure for the Section 
  • Compile monthly financial report.
  • Identify physical resources and equipment needs of the Section.
  • Control equipment & physical resources for the Section in terms of the budgetary provisions and the supply chain management process within the financial year.
  • Generate quarterly report on functioning of all three sub-sections. (And create an asset register)
  • Create and develop training and outreach plan with succinct targets.
  • Identify medium of information dissemination for target audience.
  • Develop evaluation tool for training and outreach programs and report on success stories.
  • Over- see the creation of effective informal settlement management data base management generate a holistic report performance and challenges.
  • Coordinate Transit Facilities actions plans and report o operations undertaken.
  • Coordinate quarterly report in Informal Settlement Management performance 
  • Develop a plan of action based in completed projects.
  • Respond to disasters affecting Informal Settlements and Transit Camps, by applying for funding from Provincial Humans Settlements and sourcing service providers to assist with reliefs.
