Dumisani Ndhlovu

I am a passionate trust worth and dependable  health care assistant with diplomas in Nursing and Patient Care, Care Giving, First Aide and Certificates in Mental Health Care and Sports and Safeguarding. 

My Nursing journey started in January 2017 when I joined the Live Well Care Home as an enthusiastic and eager Health Care Giver before I got promoted the next July to a permanent Senior Care Giver. Barely a year and a half later in May of 2018, Because of my resilience and hard work, I was again rewarded with the responsibility of  spearheading preparation of nutritious meals for all patients  at Live Well Care Home. I also supervised observation and management of patients’ vital signs during night shifts from July 2018 until December of 2020 when I got head hunted by the Edenvale Care Center to be the Hospice Care Team Leader. In January of 2021, I hit the ground running at Edenvale Care Center where I guided students and oriented new staff on principles of basic care giving as well as teaching Palliative Care, Catheter Care , Stoma Bag Care, Suctioning, Traumatic injury Care, PEG Feeding while I was also studying for my 2 Diplomas in Nursing and Patient Care. I graduated with distinctions in both Diplomas and am looking for my next challenge to provide the best care.                                                                   

I worked as a Junior Care giver at Live Well Care Home where I gained most of my basic care skills  from 2017 to 2020 before I was head hunted by the Edenvale Care Hospice to fill in the position of a Care Team Leader. At Edenvale Care Hospice I gained skills in Palliative Care, Dementia Care, Stoma bag Care, PEG Feeding, Catheter Care, Hospice Care, End of Life care, Traumatic Injury Care as well as Last office duties.
