About Dineo Mahalangu:

An aspiring Data Scientist with strong Statistics and Computer Science background and, I am more fascinated in extrapolating insights from big data sets to solve complex business problems. I have sharpened my programming, communication, teamwork, presentation, leadership and problem-solving skills by working on several projects to solve real-life problems with Explore Data Science Academy and BCX throughout the year 2021.I am now seeking to leverage my skills and emerge as a junior Data Scientist while participating in fascinating projects offered in the work environment. I have passion for continous learning and growth in software development and information system.

Experience

During the internship I got to plan and build real life projects using python with a goal of building a model to be able to make predictions.

Assisting in collecting, analyzing and interpret data sets to drive optimization.

Use analytics tools to produce actionable insights.

Work with Data Science and Engineers to deploy solutions to production environment such as AWS Cloud.

Communicate key results to senior management in verbal and visual manner.

Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.

Present the findings or business value under supervision of our senior data scientist.

Education

I am a BSC Mathematical Science graduate majored  in Statistics and Computer Science.

Also I have a National Certificate in Information Technology in Data Science.
