Education

Duties:
Standard Bank Stockbroking
Portfolio Manager Assistant
   • Prepare Stockbroking performance analysis for Investment Overview
• Investment House view (Stockbroking monthly performance)
• Maintain Model portfolios on system/s (currently PWM and MD)
• Prepare daily client communications
• Rotational minute taking at all morning meetings, Investment Committees, Exco and other management meetings
• Dividend projections – ADHOC, quarterly and yearly
• Portfolio reviews – assist Portfolio Manager
• Performance calculations
• Source newsworthy articles for distribution to Portfolio Managers
• Assisting with monthly factsheets, forward yield calculations, net foreign flows and Preference share schedules
• Assist PM to prep for internal and external meetings
• Regulatory reporting
• Active participation and accountability on projects and risk management input on projects
• Client services – Back up to client services team
• Corporate Actions
• Client elections communicated to central ops, and sourced accordingly from clients and PM’s by due date
• Assist with payments, transfers and client queries
• Meet clients to assist with opening of accounts and ensure all new accounts opened within 24 hours
• Attend client functions, results presentations etc. as required
• Liaising with various IFA’s and other business channel stakeholders
• Robust relationships with all stakeholders
