Chumisa Renene

I am a graduand with a triple major Bachelor's degree from the University of Cape Town, specializing in Environmental and Geographical Sciences, Gender Studies, and Social Development. I am set to officially graduate on September 6th, 2024.

My academic background in Gender Studies has laid a solid foundation for my activism and feminist advocacy. As an activist, I participate in online awareness campaigns by reposting, engage with the online community involvement, and advocate for policy changes. My feminist work supporting women's rights in every capacity that I can, and educating others about the importance of feminism and the concept of intersectionality.

I am a 22-year-old female sports enthusiast, particularly drawn to Formula 1, Rugby, Basketball, and Soccer. I also enjoy hiking and listening to audiobooks and podcasts. Notable favorites include "The Land Is Ours" by Tembeka Ngcukaitobi and the SMWX podcast by Dr. Sizwe Mpofu-Walsh.

Professionally, I teach English online and assist high school students with geometry questions, quizzes, and academic writing, both offline and online. I pride myself on my strong work ethic, commitment, and organizational skills. My proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, allows me to work efficiently and effectively.
