Christiaan Thomas Turner

I am an Architectural Technologist with nearly six years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Architectural Studies from the University of Cape Town. My background includes strong capabilities in architectural design, construction technology, and spatial problem-solving.

I specialize in producing precise, detailed architectural drawings from concept through construction documentation, supported by a solid understanding of building systems, materials, and regulatory standards.

I am seeking a role within a forward-thinking architectural practice where I can continue to refine my technical expertise, collaborate with diverse teams, and expand my exposure to new design approaches. I value environments that foster creative development, technical innovation, and a balanced integration of design intent with practical execution.

I interned at Heini van Niekerk Architects from June 2017 to December 2018, where I worked on municipal submission drawings, construction drawings, 3D scaled models, and served as a liaison between the firm and local municipal authorities.

I began working as an Architectural Technologist at the firm in January 2022, where I remain employed. My responsibilities include training new interns and staff in office standards, producing initial design drawings and renderings, preparing municipal submission packages, coordinating with municipal authorities, and compiling client-driven plan revisions for issuance as Site Instructions to contractors.

I acquired my Bachelor of Architectural Studies degree at the University of Cape Town (UCT) after three years of study, from 2019 to 2021.
