About chrismie kirsten:

I am an active retired teacher with loads of patience and experience. I love children and enjoy working with them and helping them. I qualified as a school psychologist/ language teacher and have taught all ages. 

Experience

Between 1980 and 2006 I taught at several High schools – 13- to 19-year-olds- teaching English, Afrikaans and helping with counselling. My longest stint was at a Reform School for girls from 1984 to 1994. I also taught at primary level for 2 years.

2023   Obtained Level 3 Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (120 hours) - The TEFL Academy

  • Lesson planning, Teaching vocabulary and pronunciation, Teaching receptive and productive skills, Teaching grammar, The use of online resources and media in the classroom.
