Chenelda Van der Walt

I am a bilingual HR professional with strong experience across corporate, administrative, and client-focused environment. I currently work as an HR & Compliance Officer at CSi Properties in Midrand, where I manage recruitment, training and development, payroll, performance appraisals, BBBEE administration, drafting of contracts, disciplinary processes, and compliance matters.

Previously, I gained valuable administrative and people-management experience as an Administrator at Klipspruit River Resort, handling bookings, invoicing, staff coordination, and HR-related duties. I also worked as a Sales Consultant at De Beers Furniture, where I developed excellent customer service, communication, and marketing skills.

Additionally, I served as a Research Assistant at North West University, supporting data collection, event coordination, and research administration, and gained early practical experience working part-time in a hair salon during study vacations, which strengthened my interpersonal and presentation skills.

I hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Human Resource Management, which I am completing this year, with my final examination taking place next week. My strong academic performance earned me membership in the Golden Key International Honour Society, recognising my placement among the top-performing university students. 

In addition, I have completed an Incident Investigator Certificate Course through my company’s Health and Safety Committee, equipping me with practical knowledge of workplace safety procedures, compliance standards, and risk management principles. I also hold certificates in waxing and facials, reflecting my additional training and interest in the beauty and wellness industry.
