About charlotte tinnion:
Blends Social Work training at the University of Cape Town with practical experience, to offer solid skills in individual case work, group work and programme development in the Child Protection field and the Primary and Tertiary education environment. Thorough knowledge of the Children's Act No. 38 of 2005 obtained through extensive experience working in Child Protection field and child counseling therapeutic space. Passionate about child and youth development and developing programmes that build child and youth resilience and capacity.
I am vibrant and versatile with a compassionate and caring nature. I have a good understanding and respect for diversity, following extensive experience in a diverse range of communities. I believe this has allowed me to develop a good understanding of the challenges facing South African Youth.
I am passionate about developing innovative and creative approaches to youth intervention. I have an interest in need-assessments and Participation Action Research to encourage community engaged and tailoring service delivery to the populations needs. I have dedicated my Honours and Master’s dissertations to the Early Childhood Development Sector and the Non-Profit Sector. My honours dissertation focused on the working conditions of ECD workers in Mitchells Plain, aimed at improving conditions of employment to increase remuneration, policy support and reform. I have a special interest in leadership skills and practices and Strategic Management and planning. My Masters dissertation focused on the impact of COVID-19 on the NPO sector. I focused on the response of NPO leaders, management, strategic planning, change management and policy. I have a desire to develop my skillset in Monitoring and Evaluation and have enrolled in UCT’s short-course - Programme Management: A Monitoring and Evaluation Approach
I am registered with the South African Council for Socials Service professions for sound ethical practice.
I have a valid Police Clearance Certificate.
I have a valid driver’s licence and my own vehicle.
I am fluent in English and Afrikaans.
