Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage online, phone and in-person room reservations
- Welcome guests, check them in, distribute room keys and explain the hotel’s amenities
- Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit
- Respond to guests’ issues and complaints in a friendly, timely manner
- Explain local amenities and attractions to guests
- Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet hotel standards and accommodate any special client needs
- Arrange specialized services for VIP customers
- Complete daily checklists and run daily reports (number of arrivals, departures), identify any special requests, and check reports for accuracy
- Follow up with guest regarding satisfaction with guest-related issues
- Anticipate sold-out situations and obtain satisfactory alternative accommodations when the property cannot accommodate guests with reservation
- Process all check-outs including resolving any late and disputed charge
- Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in
- Cash guests' personal checks and traveler's checks
- Count bank at the beginning and end of shift and balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications

- Complete end-of-day activities including posting charges to accounts, completing cashier and closing reports, running night audit backup, and roll the date
