About Chanel Calitz:

Although my tertiary education is in hair and Makeup artistry, I have gained significant reception and admin-related experience with my previous employers. After completing my studies in hair and make-up artistry, I worked for a company called Maddy Magoo, now Styles and Smiles, where, in addition to working as a make-up artist, I was responsible for answering the telephone, scheduling appointments and greeting clients. A few months after joining Styles and Smiles, I received the opportunity to work in Johannesburg for the renowned make- up brand, Bobbi Brown. While working for Bobbi Brown I was responsible for, amongst other things, giving makeup lessons and attending to the sale of skin and beauty products. Since returning to Cape Town I have worked as a sales person for Ou Hout Meubels, a furniture company, where I was responsible for engaging with customers and where I fulfilled various administrative functions such as filing, handling telephonic queries, recording sales figures, and so forth. I got the great opportunity to work for Lanzerac Spa as a Receptionist, I was responsible for answering phones, making bookings, Greeting and interacting with clients, doing all paper work and filing, answering emails and assisting around the spa. I then started my new job at Kearley’s Canvas Fabrications as Admin lady. I was responsible for working with clients, doing all orders, working with the finances (SAGE), filing, excel ect.

Experience

Education

After Completing my studies at the Make-Up Issue in Stellenbosch, I worked at Maddy Magoo (now Styles and Smiles), Johannesburg, from August 2015 to October 2015 where, in addition to working as a make-up artist my responsibilities included, amongst other things, answering the telephone, scheduling appointments, greeting clients and organizing functions. Thereafter, from October 2015 to July 2016, I worked for Bobbi Brown in Clearwater Mall, Johannesburg, where I was responsible for, amongst other things, giving makeup lessons, attending to the sale of skin and beauty products, scheduling appointments, attending to stocktaking, ordering of products, post-sale marketing of new products and other office, as well as various administrative duties. Since returning to Cape Town in August 2016, I worked as a freelance make-up artist before joining Ou Hout Meubels in December 2018 where I was responsible for engaging with customers and where I fulfilled various administrative functions such as filing, handling telephonic queries and recording sales figures. I then started working at Lanzerac Spa as a receptionist in 2019, I was responsible for answering telephones, making bookings, greeting and interacting with clients, doing all paper work and filing, answering of emails and assisting around the spa. In 2020 I started working at Kearley’s Canvas Fabrications as Admin lady. I was responsible for all admin duties
