About Catharine Ferreira:

I enjoy focusing on each child's holistic developmental process. I believe and have experienced that each child's basic needs are met through nurturing, evaluation, intervention, and a successful curriculum. Along with purposeful learning and skills development, I enjoy introducing children to fun, humor, laughter and play.

As an educator, I aim to set an example for children through my behavior, self-care, language, and attitude.

I practice sensitivity to each child's personality, strengths and barriers, emotional development, and basic needs.

I believe the world needs children to be who they are now and who they will be in every developmental phase through to adulthood. Their evolutionary phases contribute to healthy citizenship, development, and exploration of the world. 

I value functional group dynamics between colleagues and other staff. As colleagues, we have a common goal to bring joy to the children who are an exceptional part of our lives.

Teaching 5-6-year-olds at Saamtrek Primary school since February 2020.
