I am an Urban Planner and Development professional that is registered with SACPLAN. I am passionate about development, strategic planning, socio- economics and the built environment as a whole. I have completed my masters degree in Urban Planning and Development with a research focus in Digitisation and the use of smart technologies in cities, more specifically in municipalities by using the Gauteng City Region as my key study area.

I had also undertaken residential property sales from September 2020 to May 2023. Sales has equipped me with key soft skills that remain relevant throughout my career and insight to various property transactions and processes.

I am passionate about city development, the use of digital technologies and currently I am working in human settlements.  My desire is to establish my career within the built environment as a seasoned practitioner within the sector.

Experience

I have over 6 years working experience. I’ve worked as a Development Assistant at Galancia Properties, Worked for Two years at a local Municpality and Did property sales for two years.

Currently I am an Area Manager at the City of Johannesburg 

I am Responsible for day-to-day administration and management of public housing stock within 2 wards in Region E. My responsibilities include; 
* Initiating and facilitating upgrade interventions within informal settlements in line with City’s objectives and the Upgrading of Informal Settlements Programme as contained in the Housing Code 2009.
* Ensuring settlements are maintained and cleaned with support of municipal entities.
* Assisting on CAPEX project implementation reporting in the region. 
* Generic administrative duties to ensure effective support and reporting.

Education

Masters Degree in Urban Ppanning and Development and have been Accepted to study my PHD in 2025
