Brandon Smith

Thank you for affording me the opportunity of introducing myself.

My name is Brandon Smith, a 39 year old coloured male, most recently employed at Rand Sandblasting Coastal (PTY) LTD as Safety Manager.

I currently hold an accredited certificate in Safety through SAMTRAC,

I am also registered with the SACPCMP (CHSO/611/2016).

My first real exposure in this complex environment was gained 12 years ago in 2009 when I was afforded the opportunity to work within reputable companies within the construction industry, namely Rumdel Cape, Group Five Civils, Roadcrete Africa and Basil Read Limited.

I then moved from the Civil Engineering field and went into the Petrochemical field where I have worked at various refineries and depots in KZN over the last 4 years.                                    

My curriculum vitae stand as a testimony to my professionalism, and my record is proof that I am a result oriented and resourceful person.  I am a self-starter, possessing a high drive to achieve with the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

I have worked as a HSO in many different sectors such as Civil Engineering (Roads & Buildings), Mining, Oil and Gas and Risk Analysis for Insurance Company.

I am currently studying International Diploma via SHEilds.

I have SAMTRAC since 2009.

I have done various traing such as First Aid, Rope Access, Fall Protection Planning, Hazardous Chemicals Awareness etc.
