As a Volunteer Animal Health Technician with the Lydenburg State Vet since 2023, I conduct critical animal disease surveillance and monitoring in compliance with national legislation. My role involves the early detection, investigation, and official reporting of notifiable diseases, supporting containment efforts through quarantine protocols and movement permits. I actively engage in veterinary extension, educating farmers on biosecurity and disease prevention, while providing direct support in clinical services, sample collection for diagnostics, and collaborative wildlife disease research.

Previously, I served as a Network Administrator at Colgate-Palmolive for over ten years, where I managed regional IT infrastructure across several African countries. My key responsibilities included ensuring network and SAP server availability, overseeing production support and helpdesk services, and managing vendor relationships and IT budgets. A significant achievement was leading the migration to SAP ERP tools, which increased ICT adoption by 60% and resulted in annual cost savings of R100,000.

I obtained my National Diploma in Animal Health from UNISA in 2020, building a strong foundation in animal health and disease management. Before that, I completed a Certificate in Animal Reproduction at Rothman Livestock Training Services in 2019, and in 2009 I achieved a Vox Fax and Voice qualification through Vox Telecom. I completed my Grade 12 at Magwagwaza High School in 1999.

I have further strengthened my professional and digital capabilities by completing AI for Government (NSG), Cyber Security for Government, Introduction to Project Management, and Microsoft Digital Literacy, which have enhanced my technical knowledge and ability to adapt to modern workplace demands.
