Boitumelo Makopo

I completed my N4 - N6 in Financial Management in December 2023. I am a motivated individual and always looking to learn something new and make an entrance in the Finance Industry. Before continuing with my studies i wish to first get entry into this industry then i can study part time while working coz i believe in myself that I can do it. 

In my role within the finance department at Gauteng Department of Education, I was responsible for comprehensive revenue, petty cash, payroll, and invoice management functions aligned with PFMA guidelines. This included capturing receipts using SAP e-Receipting, managing banking and cash handling procedures, ensuring policy compliance on petty cash transactions, and overseeing payroll processes via PERSAL. I handled salary queries, reconciliations, and coordinated with schools and the Department of e-Gov for payslip and IRP5 distribution. Additionally, I processed and tracked supplier invoices through the BAS and Web Cycle systems, monitored goods and service deliveries, and ensured vendor and salary mandates were accurately submitted and followed up. My tasks were supported by the use of tools such as Speedpoint machines, Doc-Track, and Microsoft Office, and required regular reporting and electronic recordkeeping.

Completed my Grade 12 at Dr Johan Jurgens High School in 2018.I started studying for my Diploma in Financial management at Ekhuruleni East TVET College in August 2022 and proceeded to completing my N6 in December 2023.
