I'm an experienced facilities manager with strong leadership and property management skills. I'm seeking a role in effective property management with a forward-thinking organization where I can leverage my expertise and contribute to excellence in this field.

In my role as Assistant Property Manager at the Oyster Management Association since May 2021, I wear many hats. I serve as the on-site first aid officer and fire marshal, ensuring the safety and efficient evacuation of residents in emergencies. My responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks, including routine maintenance, pool maintenance, supply management, staff scheduling, administrative duties, and overseeing expenditures. I'm also responsible for negotiating contracts, supervising various teams, communicating with property owners, and addressing resident concerns. Additionally, I manage generator testing, monitor water systems, handle security systems, and maintain staff productivity. Currently, I lead a team of 4 receptionists, 2 maintenance staff, and 8 cleaning staff, and I maintain a robust contractor database, showcasing my diverse skill set in property management.

I've acquired a comprehensive education and training background that equips me with a diverse skill set. In 2020, I attended The Academy of Aviation, where I not only completed the Cabin Crew Ab Initio Course but also received training in Fire Fighting and learned essential Ditching and Survival procedures. Furthermore, I gained expertise in aviation with a Type Rating for the B737-300 aircraft and completed Initial Emergency Procedures Training for the same type. My knowledge also extends to Aviation Medicine and the handling of Dangerous Goods (Category 11), culminating in the acquisition of a CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) License.

Additionally, I pursued higher education at the University of Cape Town in 2023, where I focused on Facilities Management. This academic endeavor provided me with valuable insights and knowledge in this field. Moreover, my dedication to professional growth led me to Seesa Skills Training in 2023, where I received training in Initiator and Disciplinary Procedures, further enhancing my skill set and versatility.
