I have a lot of experience in the Retail/Sales and Motor Industry as I have worked in it for more than 20 years. I started at Auto Pedigree (Imperial) as a sales lady and soon got promoted to a branch manager. I took on the responsibilities with ease and worked well with my sales team to bring a branch that was being considered to be closed by Management into a financially viable branch. I was then asked to take over a battlin branch in Cape Town as well and by the time I left had very motivated staff and an increase in sales. I then opened the Peugeot branch in Kimberley where I took second place for Dealer of the Year afer being open for only a year. I am used to working under pressure with a high variety workload. My tasks ranged from everyday admin, calculating staff commissions on sales done, monthly/quarterly/yearly budgets, and travel arrangements to meetings with staff of the dfferent departments, handling customer complaints, and disciplinary hearings. I also trained all my staf in the various departments, such as the service advisors, sales reps and department managers.
I am currently employed by Home Studio in Richards Bay as the branch manager. I was head hunted and moved from Coricraft were I had taken on an outlaying branch that had no manager for three months since the opening proved to have its own difficulties. I managed to get the staff motivated and goal driven and get systems into place.
When I left I had trained a sales person to become the manager and had a very successful stock take to hand over to the new manager and made sure the staff respected him as their new manager.
I am a goal-driven leader who believes in maintaining a productive climate and confidentl motivates and coach employees to meet high standards of performance, as I have firm direction in performing tasks yet am still flexible to the needs of those around me and can easily adapt to various situations. I believe in integrity, honesty and professionalism at all times. I work very well under pressure ensuring accuracy and completeness in any task given. I pay special attention to detail as I know mistakes can be very costly. I strive to achieve all my objecties and goals on or before given deadlines. I respect my superiors and believe in having a good relatonship with my colleagues. I see myself as an innovative problem-solver who can generate workable solutions and resolve complaints within the company’s guidelines.
I have a very good knowledge of Integrity, Pastel, Motodata, Datatim, IQ, MS Word, Excel and Outlook and find it very easy to learn new programs. During my time at Peugeot I attende various internal training courses and workshops focusing on customer service, sales, general admin, parts and workshop related issues.
My success in this position will depend on a good staff relation with all, while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures at all times and maintaining a pleasant and productive working environment. I always try to cut cost where possible to ensure a profitable operation but not negotiatin on Customer Satisfaction.
