About Andries Gous:
Presently, I serve as the ICT Administrator at Highveld Park High School while concurrently contributing part-time to the philanthropic endeavors of AskingJude.org.
Within my role at the school, my responsibilities are multifaceted, ranging from technical support, encompassing computer maintenance and troubleshooting, to serving as a designated first-aider. As a member of the administrative team, I actively engage in facilitating seamless operational coordination between the school and various stakeholders including service providers, the Department of Education, and parents. This involves proficiently managing administrative tasks and fostering effective communication channels between the school and external entities. Additionally, I play an integral role in staff development and retention strategies, occasionally providing guidance counseling or emergency support for students in distress.
Moreover, I am entrusted with overseeing procurement processes and formulating and implementing policies pertinent to ICT infrastructure, safety protocols, attendance management, and documentation procedures. In this capacity, I collaborate closely with the Finance Committee, School Management Team, and the School Governing Body to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
In my capacity as a volunteer with AskingJude.org, my contributions primarily revolve around technical support for the organization's digital platforms, including the website and various social media channels. I also possess the requisite experience to offer assistance as an auxiliary counsellor and personnel supervisor during critical situations.
My professional background encompasses diverse experiences in public relations, marketing, audio-visual production, managerial roles, and project planning. I have also had experience in navigating both retail and hospitality sectors.
My ethos revolves around a commitment to excellence, where I endeavour not only to meet but surpass expectations in all I do. Throughout my career, I have consistently excelled in roles requiring adept management of both projects and personnel. Whether in client-facing capacities such as liaison or PR, or in internal leadership roles such as supervision or project management, I have consistently delivered exceptional results.
