Abigail Bridgens

As an individual who is passionate about personal growth and professional development, I have dedicated my career to constantly expanding my knowledge and skills. I believe that success is achieved through hard work, dedication, and a commitment to excellence.

In my personal life, I am an avid traveler who enjoys exploring new cultures and trying new foods. I am also passionate about art and enjoy staying spending time with my little family creating memorable experiences for my kids. I am an advocate for volunteer work and community service and frequently participate in local initiatives to give back to those in need.

As an individual who is driven to succeed, I am always seeking new challenges and opportunities to grow. I am excited to bring my skills, experience, and passion to any organization that values excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

From 2010 to 2012 I started as a humble beauty therapist in beauty therapy and worked myself up to salon manager. Daily tasks involved treatments, client services, retail and daily operations of the salon.

2013 to 2014 I decided to enter the world of aesthetics and also co owned an Aesthetic Clinic working alongside a doctor. Tasks included budgets,marketing, retail, client services and running the daily operations of the clinic.

2015 I honed my skills in sales and customer service in a sales representative role for a cosmetic and hair product company. Responsibilities included reaching targets, sourcing new clients and promoting the company and products.

From 2016 to 2018 I persued my passion for teaching by lecturing Somatology students. By instructing and training new students on a national and international level in theoretical and practical subjects for Somatology. 

2019 to 2022 I was promoted to academic manager and coordinator of the head office branch. 

Working myself up into the role of National Academic Manager and trainer of the company in 2023. Coordinating, exams, schedules, conducting site visits, content creation, budgets, etc. In 2023 I was also chosen to be part of the SAAHSP designation committee as well as the SAAHSP Education board and was recently voted into the role of vice chair.

My career journey reflects a diverse range of roles within the beauty and academic sectors, demonstrating my expertise and progression to a national leadership position in academia and training in 2023.
