A Telecommunications technologist with more than 20 years experience of delivering value across Africa and Melanesia. A holder of a Full Technological Certificate in Telecommunications (City and Guilds of London Institute), a Honours Degree in Marketing Management and a Masters in Strategic Management and Corporate Governance). I am currently working with Econet Wireless as the Team Leader for Special projects. I have led Operations management for a period of 7 years.

I am married and have three sons of school going age. I am willing to relocate.

Experience

  1. Currently working with Econet Wireless as a Team leader for Special projects. The Role ensures delivery of Telecommunications and Power projects across the country through contracting firms. I have eight direct reports while I report to the Head of Department. I joined Special Projects in 2018 til date.
  2. Operations Manager- Midlands (2011- 2018). The role had the following responsibilities;Develop the operations strategy for the  region
  • Develop service level agreements with internal and external stakeholders
  • Responsible with Skills development and technical assessments of staff
  • Create the Network & Power operational Key performance indicators
  • Create the Radio Network operational Key performance indicators
  • Coordinate the Radio and Transmission operations activities
  • Coordinate maintenance of the power plant and core nodes
  • Prepare The Acceptance Test Protocol (ATP) for all Equipment
  • Ensure optimal resource usage
  • Mentoring of junior staff
  • Produce operational reports for senior management

3.Operations & Support Engineer (Ericsson Botswana- 2009 to 2011).

  • Configure and Implement OMS Network synchronization 
  • Perform Pre-handover network testing
  • Configure and set up the Service on Microwave
  • Configure 3G traffic –Back hauling 
  • Give O&M Support services on OMS Network
  • Give O&M support Services on MDRS Network
  • Give O&M support services on Mini-link TN Network
  • ASP supervision
  • Coordinate the maintenance of various transmission equipment
  • Assist on the designing of an appropriate DCN Plan
  • Implementation of DCN
  • Integrate OMS, Mini-link TN & MDRS nodes on SOM
  • Attend progress meetings and offer technical advice 
  • Carry out knowledge transfer to local employees

Education

  • Masters of Commerce in Strategic Management and Corporate governance
  • Bachelor of commerce honours degree in marketing management
  • Full technological Certificate for telecommunications-City and Guilds of   London
  • Diploma in Telecommunications
  • Networking N+-Certification
