Main Purpose of the Job:

Dynamic, fast-moving Warehousing and Logistics Company requires the services of a Picker Packer/Waste Sorter focusing on the management and logistics of Warehousing and Event material.

Education and experience required:

Matric

Minimum 5 years Relevant experience in Warehousing and Logistics

Requirements & Competencies
Computer literacy, understanding and proficiency and competency in Excel; Word; PowerPoint required

Excellent written and verbal skills

Excellent people skills

Strong numeracy skills

Ability to multitask in stressful situations and absorb pressure in stressful situations

High sense of urgency

Key responsibility Areas:

Follow Warehouse Standard Operating Procedures

Stock to be packed according to Client, Category and Brand

Continues follow up from Receiving on stock to be packed away to clear receiving area

Continues follow up from Dispatch on stock to be packed away more than 5 days on Dispatch Floor

Ensure stock packed away are all clearly labelled

Isles to be clean and easily assessable to pack and pick stock

All quarantines stock to be clearly labelled, not to pick if requested on Pick slip, but to follow up from Warehouse Controller to get approval

Report any damages

Assist with D&W and Picture request of stock

Ensure all return stock are clean before store in shelving

All high value stock to be packed within the High Value area

Warehouse area to be clean and packed accordingly

All Free stock to be packed away within 24 hours and other receipts to be packed away within 48 hours

Manage Packaging material for all DI's and report to Dispatch Controller accordingly

Strict respect and adherence to Operational; Logistics and Finance process

Report any defaults on Pallet Jacks, trolleys or equipment

Ensuring that all jobs are processed, actioned, and delivered on time.

Assist with Stock take requirements, Destructions and Client queries

Stock accuracy through strict controls; enforcement of company SOP's.

Waste material to be packed according to elements

Assist with loading and off-loading of equipment.

Housekeeping - keeps the interior and exterior of assigned equipment and clean

Focusing on operating mechanism for waste baler, loading, compressing, driving, deliveries, and dumping refuse and recyclable materials

Perform warehouse or yard duties as and when required

Assist with daily Operational requirements where required

Salary:
R5, R5,500.00 per month
