  • Lead the Business Development team in planning, developing and implementing commercial strategies based on company goals and objectives with the main goal of supporting the acceleration of sustainable growth. Commercial Executive to add value to the company's growth activities by identifying new commercial opportunities and managing marketing efforts. The individual will keep abreast of trends and market conditions to provide strategic advice to senior management. Marketing and branding to ensure branding is consistent across advertising campaigns, and that branding is consistent across advertising and campaigns.
  • REQUIREMENTS:
  • B-Degree plus Post Graduate qualifications.
  • At least 5 years in a Senior Commercial Management role in the Freight Forwarding, Customs Clearing and Contract Logistics industry.
  • Proven track record in leading Commercial teams focussed on customer retention, new sales growth, and product development in the International Freight Forwarding, Customs Clearing and Contract Logistics industry.

DUTIES:

  • Business Development.
  • Keeping business abreast of the latest industry trends and developments.
  • Marketing
Main activities

  • Develop, plan and implement commercial plans and strategies.
  • Always strive to accelerate and encourage the company's growth and success.
  • Perform market research and analyse threats and opportunities.
  • Implement new customer acquisition strategies.
  • Manage existing client relationships.
  • Management of bids/tenders/RFQ's/RFI's/RFP's.
  • Collaborate with, coordinate and train diverse teams such as marketing, sales and customer
- service.

  • Establish and manage longterm relationships with stakeholders.
  • Understand the requirements of existing customers.
  • Track, measure and analyse commercial metrics using KPIs.
  • Compile information for inclusion in quarterly board reports
Financial responsibility

  • Manage and track expenditures, financial goals and budgets for the Business Development
- department.

  • Set annual new sales and extension business targets and manage and monitor achievement
- against targets on a monthly and quarterly basis.
