    Description

    Duties and responsibilities at this role involve:

    • Visiting customers at job sites, business offices, and institutional account locations to discover rental service and sales opportunities.
    • Meeting key account administrative and management personnel in offices to guarantee customer satisfaction.
    • Addressing customer service issues on-site and negotiating rental contracts.
    • Handling customer sales objections and successfully closing rental deals.
    • Gaining a comprehensive understanding of market conditions (e.g., current customers, competitors, opportunities) for the assigned territory.
    • Creating and executing a strategy to meet revenue targets.
    • Collaborating with Sales on budget forecasts.
    • Engaging in effective cold calling and prospecting initiatives.
    • Devising and implementing strategies to improve customer and market share.

    Requirements for this position:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field or equivalent rental experience.
    • Hold a valid and clear driver's license.
    • At least 5 years of experience in technical solutions selling.
    • Proficiency in verbal and written English & Afrikaans.
    • Must be willing to travel and be on standby when necessary.
    • Thorough understanding of optimized territory management.
    • Confident and a valuable team player.
    • Dedicated to ensuring customer satisfaction.
    • Proficient in computer skills.
    • Able to comprehend and convey product and technical information effectively.
    • Sound technical expertise and quick adaptability to new products/technical advancements.
    • Strong sales tactics and negotiation abilities.
    • Capability to handle pressure and setbacks, and willingness to learn and develop accordingly.
    • Experience in sales within the mining industry or similar technical sector would be advantageous. Knowledge in Compressor/ Generator operations is a plus.
    • Frequent local travel within South Africa including overnight stays.
