Meat Production Assistant

Kendrick Recruitment is thrilled to announce a new opportunity for a Meat Production Assistant to join a dynamic team within a renowned organisation.

If you have a passion for meat processing and a keen eye for quality, this role is perfect for you

Requirements:

National Senior Certificate qualification (matric / Grade 12) is mandatory.
2-3 years of experience in a meat factory or food processing environment.
Quick learner with good comprehension skills.
Formal food safety training would be advantageous.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, night shifts, and weekends as needed.
Fluent in both Afrikaans and English with excellent communication abilities.
Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 20 kg in a cold environment for 5-6 hours.
Team player with efficient work habits, punctuality, and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.

Responsibilities:

Assist in meat processing while upholding quality and production standards.
Support butchers with tasks such as grinding, deboning, trimming meat, and sausage making.
Aid in order packing, fulfilment, inventory management, and cooler organisation.
Ensure cleanliness of equipment and work areas to meet health and sanitation standards.
Adhere to food safety and temperature control procedures at all times.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Understand and follow relevant policies and practices within the work environment.

Salary on offer of R5453.
