CNC Machinist/operator - Johannesburg, South Africa - Trading Places Manufacturing Recruitment
Description
CNC Machinist needed to operate CNC machines and utilize existing programming to fabricate tools & parts to specified dimensions.
- Determine the necessary fixtures, attachments, and tools for each job according to requirements, and securely mount them onto the machine before starting the cutting process.
- Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to ensure alignment between project specifications and final products, and make modifications to designs when needed.
- Adjust machine speed, tooling, and cutting techniques to guarantee the accuracy and precision of the parts being manufactured.
- Monitor the cutting process, make real-time adjustments, detect errors promptly, and take immediate corrective actions.
- Supervise machine temperatures, manage warm-up and cool-down cycles, and regularly replace coolant to optimize machine performance.
- Thoroughly inspect all completed products to maintain quality standards and uphold the reputation of the company.
- Interpret cutting plans accurately, input them into control systems before operations, and rectify any errors as required.
