Key responsibilities
Implement sound financial control

Custodianships of the Business assets

Risk Management including negotiating and overseeing insurance arrangements

IT infrastructure and services management

Working capital management including;

  • Securing favourable creditor terms posts Business Rescue
  • Manage inventory levels to acceptable targets
  • Credit Risk and key customer supply chain finance management
  • Optimise working capital cycles
Oversight of costing function

Banking facilities and relationship - securing these and maintaining

In time will establish Treasury function as may be deemed necessary

Board of Directors and subcommittee and shareholders

Maintenance of Company Secretarial function

Reporting and compliance

Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) monitor performance against plan, recommend changes to optimise BBBEE scorecard

Will also manage key capital investment projects in the business
- e.g. Alternative energy gas powered generation units

Will manage core finance team - Finance Manager; Cashbook Clerk; Accounts Payable; Accounts Receivable

Will be required to add broad vale beyond core Finance function and be highly commercial

Key requirements

  • Qualified a CA(SA) or B Comm Finance plus relevant Masters qualification
  • Minimum10 years post qualifications experience gained in finance roles, at least 8 years at management level
  • Previous experience gained in Manufacturing environment preferred
  • High energy driven and persuasive individual with strong EQ
  • High Maturity level in order to leverage off the high level of expertise within the executive management team
