Purpose of the Job:


The purpose of the Global Sourcing Administrator is to provide data orientated inputs to support the Non-RSA Buying team to buy products locally and internationally.

Whilst this role may from time-to-time participate and provide support in the sourcing of goods, selection and purchasing of specified goods and ensuring effective and profitable planning of goods in the correct quantities, at the right time, place and price, the role takes accountability for managing data and related data insights particularly aimed to support new product portfolios and maintain data related aspects of product portfolios.

The role administers article/site specific data to ensure efficient distribution and sale of goods.

This role also provides additional support as required to the Trainee Buyer, Buyer and Senior Buyer functions within the team and serves as an entry point for building a career in Buying.

  • Replenishment Experience
  • Key Specific product / category understanding
  • Correct product /range sourcing, at the right time
  • Different / unique product procurement (new trends)
  • Profitable product location
  • Ascertain which products are in short supply in the local market
  • Providing data and administrative support that contributes to sales growth
  • Providing article/site specific data, insights and administrative support for decision making re: the article range, stock and price point
  • Work closely with Data Analyst to dissect information and provide appropriate support to measure and monitor Buyer KPIs.

Qualifications:


  • Diploma or Degree in Commercial, Data Analytics, Supply Chain or equivalent (advantageous).

Experience:

- +1 years relevant experience in a retail & replenishment or similar environment - (preferred).

  • Exposure to a data function / working with data analytics or similar environment (preferred).
  • Exposure to and an understanding of corporate and retail orientated environments (preferred).

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 36
  • Outlook, Word, Excel and SAP (essential).
