Description
To join our talented team, we are looking for a motivated technical sales representative. The technical sales representative needs to be well-versed in electrical switchgear and have both sales and industry expertise. You'll be responsible for determining the customer's demands and making recommendations about how to specify our brand.

You should be able to establish a great rapport with your current clientele and find new ones.

A top-notch technical sales representative should be aware about the competitor's products and be able to explain complex concepts to clients who are not technically inclined.


Responsibilities

  • Determining the customer's technical requirements and recommending the best products.
  • Making complicated technical knowledge understandable for customers.
  • Following up with clients and resolving any arising problems.
  • Informing clients on new technical products.
  • Putting together reports and proposals for technical items.
  • Ensuring that sales goals are regularly attained.
  • Informing management of sales results.
  • Updating records of communications with customers and their contact details.
  • Attend important client or project meetings.
  • Ensuring that the purchasing procedure is pleasant for the customer.
  • Contacting local specifiers, influencers, and engineering consultants.
  • Help with tenders and perform the required followups.
  • Carry out additional tasks as instructed by management.
  • Visiting clientele in person at their office and on working construction sites.
  • Participating in industrial trade fairs to find possible sales leads and engage with current clients.

Requirements:


  • A degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2 years of sales experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of industry experience.
  • Technical expertise and a thorough knowledge of how the products function.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The capacity to locate and pursue leads.
  • Outstanding abilities in closing sales and selling products.
  • Expertise in sales promotion strategies.
  • Outstanding presentation abilities and a polished appearance.
  • The ability to travel extensively and a valid driver's license.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical products.
  • Knowledge of MS Office packages is essential.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Cooperative attitude; being pleasant with others on the job.

  • Bluff, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
